Materialism’s core

I feel most people I know are financially struggling (including myself) but there’s a pattern that most others fall into that I can’t quite understand. After paying their rent and bills- with $100 left, they go and buy material items with some belief that their life quality might actually improve. They’d never directly admit to it, “It’s just something I wanted” but behind that line is fundamentally flawed logic. To some degree they thought they’d be happier. I always wonder why there’s often no attempt to save or invest in a future or scenario that could cause true change to their situation…

I like to invest in crypto-currency (I like stocks too, but I see more potential in the crypto space at the moment.) and personal projects that have potential to create regenerating revenue for myself.  But I find this is often not the case.

Every time I think of buying an item or eating out, I can’t help but to think of the accumulating waste of resources that could be put towards a ‘brighter tomorrow.’ Instead of looking for temporary relief for whatever reasons through new items. I’m obsessed with the idea that my resources if used correctly could make me financially free. A freedom most in this world will likely never know…

That’s all I really want to say here lol.
